FAQAnswers to the most common questions about accounts clean-up

Have some questions?

Everything you need to know about the accounts clean-up service before you start.

How long does accounts clean-up take?

It depends on the workload, the number of periods, and the state of your books. The project starts with a diagnostic report that precisely defines the scope and expected timeline before any execution.

What's the difference between accounts clean-up and bookkeeping?

Accounts clean-up is a one-time service to review and correct messy past periods and trace missing transactions. Bookkeeping is an ongoing monthly service. We usually start with clean-up, then move to monthly bookkeeping.

Do I need to send all my past books?

Yes. We request invoices, bank statements, credit-card statements, the current trial balance, and the documents related to the periods. The more complete the documents, the more accurate and faster the clean-up.

Does the service cover handling tax returns?

The service includes checking zakat and tax compliance and flagging any outstanding obligations or inaccurately recorded transactions. Preparing and filing tax returns or their amendments is available as a separate tax service.

Does the service require a Qoyod subscription?

Yes. The service requires an active Qoyod subscription to carry out the clean-up inside it, and you'll find your corrected entries organized on the system with accurate financials for the periods.

What happens after the clean-up is done?

You receive organized books on Qoyod, a before & after report, a certified trial balance, and financials for the periods. We recommend continuing with the monthly bookkeeping service to keep your books in order.
